Muskoka resorts car service: what you are booking
Muskoka's big resorts are a long way from anywhere you can reach by train. The drive from Barrie is Highway 400 and Highway 11 north, and from Pearson it is a trip of well over two hours when you add the Barrie leg. People who search for Muskoka resorts, Muskoka hotels, Deerhurst Resort or the JW Marriott in Muskoka usually want one thing: a way to arrive relaxed, with luggage, without driving after a long week.
You book your Muskoka resort car in our own reservation engine. It asks for the pickup address or flight, the number of travellers and bags, and the vehicle you want. The fare it shows is all-in: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls on the planned route, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. There is no meter and no surge. The resorts are places we drive to, and we have no affiliation with any of them.

The Muskoka town page and the Huntsville and Lake of Bays page carry the local detail, and the Barrie to Muskoka route page explains the drive. The Barrie limo prices guide shows how the bands are built.
Muskoka hotels and resorts we pick up from
We checked these on 2 October 2026 against each property's own site or the Discover Muskoka listing, and each showed as open. There is no partnership with any of them. The last column says which of our published bands to use as a guide; the engine quotes the exact address.

Gravenhurst: Muskoka Wharf, Taboo and the first stop north
Gravenhurst is the closest Muskoka town to Barrie: about 70 km and 45 to 55 minutes, a planning $310–355 in a business sedan. The Residence Inn by Marriott sits on Steamship Bay Road on Lake Muskoka at the Muskoka Wharf, where the vintage steamships dock, and Taboo Muskoka is on Muskoka Beach Road with its own beach and golf. Both are a straightforward run up Highway 11 from Barrie.
Because Gravenhurst is the nearest, it suits a long weekend, a wedding stay or a cottage-country dinner followed by a return to Barrie in the same evening. Our Gravenhurst steamships article covers the wharf, and the steamship operator's site shows the cruise options.

JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka and Windermere House on Lake Rosseau
The JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa is at 1050 Paignton House Road in Minett, in the township of Muskoka Lakes, and its listing describes a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a beach and event space. Windermere House is at 2508 Windermere Road in Windermere on Lake Rosseau, with rooms and suites, a spa and a private cottage on offer, according to its own site.
Both are deeper into Muskoka than Gravenhurst. We do not have a published fare band for Minett or Windermere, so use the Port Carling band, a planning $430–495 for a business sedan (110 km, 75 to 90 minutes), as the nearest guide and expect the engine to quote the exact figure for the address. Our Muskoka town page and the cottage country car service page have more.
Deerhurst Resort and Huntsville
Deerhurst Resort is at 1235 Deerhurst Drive in Huntsville, on the shores of Peninsula Lake. Its site lists two championship golf courses, a spa, several restaurants and conference space, and promotes events through 2026. From downtown Barrie, Huntsville is about 130 km and 80 to 95 minutes, a planning $490–565 in a business sedan.
For Algonquin Provincial Park and the Lake of Bays, Huntsville is the gateway. Our Algonquin Park and Huntsville article and the Algonquin Park page explain the drive beyond, and the Huntsville town site and the Algonquin Park site have the official visitor information.
Pearson to a Muskoka resort
There is no direct public transport from Pearson to the Muskoka resorts. A private car meets you at the commercial pickup area, tracks your flight and drives north on Highway 400 and Highway 11. Pearson to Barrie alone is about 97 km and 60 to 85 minutes; add the Barrie to Muskoka legs above for a trip of roughly two to three hours or more depending on the resort and traffic. We do not publish a single Pearson to Muskoka price; the engine quotes the exact all-in fare for your resort and vehicle.
Flights are tracked; 30 minutes of waiting is included on Canadian domestic and US arrivals and 60 minutes on other international arrivals, counted from actual landing. See the Pearson airport page, and the Pearson airport hotels page if you land late and prefer to start north in the morning.
Muskoka Airport (YQA) and private jets
Muskoka Airport (YQA) is at Gravenhurst, about 80 km and 50 to 60 minutes from downtown Barrie, a planning $340–390 for a business sedan. If you are flying privately into Muskoka for a resort stay, our Muskoka Airport page and the private aviation page for Muskoka explain ground transport; check operators, customs and ramp details on the airport's own channels before you plan around them.
For a jet passenger arriving at Lake Simcoe Regional Airport instead, the YLK guide covers that airport honestly; it is a general-aviation airport near Barrie with no airline service.
Friday afternoons, Sunday evenings and cottage traffic
From Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, Highway 400 and Highway 11 north fill up on Friday afternoons and clog southbound on Sunday afternoons, worst on long weekends. A quiet-hours drive can double at the peak. The planning times in the table above are the mid-range; our dispatchers back-time pickups against the slow end.
The practical answer is to travel off-peak or to let someone else sit in the traffic. Leave early on Friday, or after the rush, and ride south on Sunday evening rather than at 3 p.m. Check road conditions on Ontario 511. Our cottage opening and closing article and the Muskoka limo guide cover the busy weekends.
Hourly chauffeur for a Muskoka day
The hourly private chauffeur is our lead product. One car and one professional chauffeur stay with you for a 3-hour minimum or a whole day, with extra time added in 30-minute blocks: a business sedan at a planning $135–160 an hour, a business SUV $175–205, an executive SUV $225–265 and a first-class sedan $350–410, all-in plus HST. A 4-hour sedan booking is $540–640.
In Muskoka the hourly car handles a day with several stops: a lunch in Bracebridge, a steamship cruise from the Wharf, a spa appointment, a golf round and dinner at the resort. The chauffeur waits at each stop and carries your bags between. Read hourly chauffeur service and the cottage country car service page.
Overnight trips and long days
Some Muskoka plans run longer than a single day: a weekend wedding, a corporate retreat or a trip that continues to Algonquin. Overnight trips with the chauffeur staying over can be arranged at booking, and a second chauffeur can be added on very long days. NEXUS-holding chauffeurs are available on request for cross-border travel, which can matter if your Muskoka stay is part of a longer US trip.
Tell us the dates, the stops and whether you need the car for the whole stay or just the transfers. A coordinator can price a multi-vehicle or multi-day plan in writing. For a corporate group, see corporate car service.

Taxi or private car in Muskoka?
Muskoka taxis are a real option for short local hops, and plenty of people search for them: demand for a Muskoka taxi is far larger than for a Muskoka limo. But taxi availability varies by town and time of day, and the resorts are spread over hundreds of square kilometres. A taxi from Barrie to a Muskoka resort is a long, metered trip with an unknown total; a private car gives a fixed fare shown first.
If you are one traveller on a tight budget with a fixed timetable, a bus or a shared ride is cheaper. If there are two or more of you, with luggage, golf clubs or a late arrival, a private car is priced per vehicle, not per seat. Our fares are premium-priced and include every fee. See our airport shuttle alternative and the limo, taxi and rideshare comparison.
Shared shuttle or private car from Toronto?
People search for a Toronto to Muskoka shuttle, and shared operators do run to some destinations; check their sites for schedules, stops and seat prices. A shared seat is cheaper for one traveller who does not mind a fixed departure and several drop-offs.
A private car is door to door at your resort, leaves when your bags are collected and is priced per vehicle. A family of four or a wedding party of ten in a Sprinter shares one fare, and the chauffeur will wait for a delayed flight. Compare the whole picture on the rates page and with the fare calculator.
Weddings, retreats and groups
Muskoka resorts host weddings, retreats and conferences, and guest movements are usually the pain point: arrivals spread over a Friday afternoon, a ceremony at a set time and departures on Sunday morning. A Sprinter carries up to 14 passengers, a luxury minivan six and an executive SUV six; the Jet Sprinter is a VIP lounge van for seven passengers and five bags.
Stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce or Maybach cars and party buses are partner vehicles from vetted operators, and we say so at booking. Alcohol is not allowed in any of our vehicles, including partner stretch limousines and party buses, so celebrations stay at the venue. For a wedding, a coordinator can price multi-vehicle plans in writing; see our wedding limo page and the Sprinter group page.
Pets, child seats and accessibility
Pets need prior approval: request at booking and wait for written confirmation. Service animals are welcome and should be mentioned at booking. Many Muskoka lodgings have their own pet rules, so check each property's policy too.
Child seats (infant or child, toddler and booster) are available on request from $25 each; add them at booking. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available; book it in advance and tell us about the wheelchair or scooter.
Cancellation, changes and what is included
Every fare includes the chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls on the planned route, airport fees and gratuity, with HST shown separately. Waiting is 15 minutes on non-airport pickups, then 15-minute blocks. Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours before, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 per cent; 48 hours or less, 50 per cent; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 per cent.
On long-distance cottage-country trips we recommend booking early for summer Fridays and long weekends, when the busiest slots go first.
