The BarrieLimo.net travel desk pairs a trip's flights, hotels, resorts, activities and packages, searched and booked through BookingWorldwide.net, with the chauffeur who connects them. You book the travel on BookingWorldwide.net and the Barrie airport limo direct with us; dispatch then times every pickup to the flight and the check-in. It suits visitors coming to Barrie, Simcoe County and Muskoka, and residents flying out of Pearson.
A Barrie travel desk, with BookingWorldwide.net as the travel agency: what it does
Barrie has no scheduled airline service of its own. Almost every visitor arrives through Toronto Pearson, about 97 km and 60–85 minutes down Highway 400, and nearly every resident's holiday starts with that same drive in the other direction. The travel desk exists because that hour on the 400 is the piece of the journey people plan last and regret most.
The division of labour is simple. BookingWorldwide.net is the travel agency side: flights, hotels, resorts, activities, packages and car rental, searched and paid for on its own site. BarrieLimo.net is the ground side: the transfer from the terminal, the hourly chauffeur during the stay, and the run back to the terminal. You make two bookings, and our dispatch desk lines them up so the car is at the curb when the aircraft is, and at the hotel door when the room is ready.
What it is not
It is not a package-holiday shop where one payment covers everything, and we do not issue airline tickets or hold hotel inventory ourselves. Travel bookings are completed on BookingWorldwide.net under its terms. The chauffeur is reserved on our reservation engine under ours, at a fixed fare shown before you confirm. Keeping the two separate means that a change to a flight never forces a renegotiation of the car: we simply track the new flight number.
It is not a storefront either. Anyone looking for a travel agent in Barrie to sit down with in person should know that this desk works online and by phone, alongside the ride.
How a trip comes together
- Search the flight on the travel desk and note the flight number and arrival terminal.
- Choose where to stay: a hotel on the Barrie waterfront, a resort in Horseshoe Valley, a lodge on a Muskoka lake or a cottage rental.
- Book the arrival transfer on BarrieLimo.net and enter the flight number, so the pickup follows the real landing time.
- Decide whether the stay needs a car on call. If the days hold more than one outing, add an hourly chauffeur for those days.
- Book the departure transfer, working back from the airline's check-in deadline with a winter or long-weekend margin where it applies.
The whole plan then exists as one flight itinerary and one set of chauffeur confirmations, each with a fixed fare.

Flights: which airport to search
Toronto Pearson (YYZ) is the default: the widest choice of airlines and destinations, and the shortest drive of the big airports at about 97 km. A business sedan is a planning range of $380–440 one way. Flights use Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, so check the booking. See Toronto Pearson airport transfers.
Billy Bishop (YTZ) sits on the Toronto Island, a pedestrian tunnel or a short ferry from the foot of Bathurst Street. It is about 115 km from Barrie, 80–110 minutes, $445–510 in a sedan, and it can be the better choice when the visit continues downtown. The airport's own site is billybishopairport.com.
Buffalo Niagara (BUF) is 265 km away, 2.75–3.5 hours plus the border, $885–1,020. Some travellers choose it for US domestic fares; the saving has to cover the longer road and the crossing.
Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (YLK), 18 km from downtown in Oro-Medonte, has no scheduled airline flights. It serves private and charter aircraft, and we meet those by arrangement; see private aviation at Lake Simcoe Regional.
Hotels in Barrie and around Kempenfelt Bay
Barrie's hotels fall into three groups: the waterfront and downtown, close to Meridian Place, Heritage Park and the restaurants on Dunlop Street; the Bayfield Street corridor near Georgian Mall and Highway 400; and the south end around Mapleview Drive and Park Place. The travel desk's hotel search shows what is open and available for your dates. Whichever you choose, the chauffeur stops at the main entrance, and the fare from Pearson is the same $380–440 planning range because it is priced to the address, not the brand. Area-by-area notes are on the Barrie hotel transfers page.
Resorts: ski hills, the lake and Muskoka
North and west of the city the resort country begins. Horseshoe Resort is about 25 km away in Oro-Medonte, a planning range of $180–205 from downtown. Blue Mountain and its pedestrian village are 66 km and 60–70 minutes west along Highway 26, $300–345. Friday Harbour is on the Innisfil shore of Lake Simcoe, south-east of the city. Muskoka starts at Gravenhurst, 70 km up Highway 11, and runs on to Bracebridge, Port Carling and Huntsville.
A resort stay changes the transport question. Guests rarely need a car while they are on the property, so two one-way transfers usually beat a week of car rental sitting in a parking lot. The Muskoka resort transfers page covers the lodges and the lake roads.
Activities worth a chauffeur
Some outings are better without your own vehicle. A ski day means wet boots, tired legs and a dark drive home. An evening at Casino Rama, 47 km away beyond Orillia, means somebody would otherwise watch the clock. A Barrie Colts game at Sadlon Arena means arena parking and a crowd leaving together. A steamship cruise from Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst, a thermal circuit at Scandinave Spa, a concert weekend at Burl's Creek: all of them work as an hourly booking where the chauffeur drops you at the door and is waiting when you come out. The activities tab on the travel desk lists tickets and tours; the car is booked here.
Vacation packages from Toronto Pearson, a visit or a delegation: adding the ground side
When flights and rooms are bought together as a package on BookingWorldwide.net, add the ground transport as a matching set: arrival transfer, any hourly days, departure transfer. For a delegation, a wedding block or a tournament team, tell us the full arrival list. Dispatch groups passengers by flight, assigns sedans, SUVs or a Sprinter accordingly, and a coordinator confirms the schedule in writing so the organiser has one document to forward.
Car rental or a chauffeur?
The travel desk offers car rental, and sometimes it is the right answer: a week of touring Georgian Bay at your own pace, for instance. A chauffeur is the better answer when the visitor has just come off a long flight, when the trip falls between November and March and the driver has never met a lake-effect squall, when the group plans to visit breweries or the casino, or when the car would otherwise sit unused at a resort. Many guests combine them: chauffeur from Pearson to Barrie on arrival day, a rental collected locally for the touring days, chauffeur back to the terminal.

Visitors arriving from outside Canada
International visitors clear immigration and customs at Pearson before they reach the curb, which is why 60 minutes of waiting are included on international arrivals other than US flights, and 30 minutes on US and domestic ones. Entry requirements depend on citizenship: many visa-exempt travellers who fly in need an Electronic Travel Authorization, and the Canada Border Services Agency publishes what may be brought into the country. Check both before you travel; we are a car service and cannot advise on immigration.
The fare covers curbside pickup at the terminal's commercial pickup area. A first-time visitor who would rather be met inside arrivals by a chauffeur holding a name board can add meet and greet on the booking form.
Arriving from the United States by road
Guests driving themselves cross at Niagara or Detroit and still face two to five hours of Ontario highway afterwards. A cross-border chauffeur collects in Buffalo, Niagara Falls or Detroit and brings the party straight to Barrie; passengers carry their own travel documents and the chauffeur handles the route and the bridge. NEXUS-holding chauffeurs can be requested. Fares and timings are under arriving from the USA.
Barrie residents flying out
For people who live here, the travel desk works in reverse. Book the winter-sun flight or the family visit overseas, then book the outbound car. For a morning departure from Pearson in January, dispatch plans the pickup around the airline's cut-off and the overnight forecast; if squalls are expected between Barrie and Highway 89, the car is sent earlier. On the way home your flight is tracked, so a late arrival does not leave you without a ride at one in the morning. Child seats are added at booking, from $25 each.
Cottage rentals and family arrivals
Cottage weeks create a particular puzzle: relatives land on different days, the cottage is two hours from the airport, and the last ten kilometres are a gravel road with no signal. Give us the civic address and any gate or lane instructions at booking. An executive SUV takes six people and six bags; a Sprinter takes a larger family with coolers and gear. Northbound traffic on the 400 and Highway 11 is heaviest on Friday afternoons from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, so a midday landing on a Thursday is kinder than a Friday evening one. See cottage weekends and family arrivals.
Weddings, events and groups
Destination weddings at the resorts bring dozens of guests through Pearson over two or three days. The travel desk can be used by guests to find flights and rooms; the couple or planner gives us the arrival list, and we build the transfer plan around it, with shuttles between hotel and venue on the day. Partner coaches and party buses are arranged where numbers call for them and named as partner vehicles. Alcohol is not allowed on board any vehicle.
Timing the car around check-in and check-out
Hotel check-in is commonly mid-afternoon and check-out late morning, while flights land and leave whenever they please. If a flight lands at dawn, an hourly booking can fill the gap: breakfast on the waterfront, a walk past the Spirit Catcher, bags safe in the trunk, then the hotel when the room is ready. If a flight leaves late in the evening, the same idea works in reverse after check-out. Tell dispatch the times and they will suggest the cheaper of the two arrangements.
Who to contact about what
Questions about a flight, a room, a refund on a package or a rental car go to BookingWorldwide.net, which holds those bookings. Questions about a pickup time, a vehicle, a child seat or a change of address come to BarrieLimo.net dispatch, which answers around the clock. If a flight changes, update the travel booking first and then send us the new flight number.
Book the ground side direct
The chauffeur is always reserved on BarrieLimo.net itself: the engine on this page, the floating Book now button or the booking page. No app and no intermediary sit between you and dispatch.
