Friday Harbour Resort is on Lake Simcoe in Innisfil, south of Barrie, and BarrieLimo.net covers it by the trip or the hour. The planning range from downtown Barrie to Innisfil is $150–170 for a business sedan (about 15 km, 15–25 minutes), all-in plus HST with tolls included. Pearson airport is about 97 km from Barrie; the engine prices the exact Innisfil address for any transfer.
Friday Harbour Resort stays: how a chauffeured visit works
Friday Harbour is an all-season waterfront destination on Lake Simcoe, at 3999 Friday Drive in Innisfil, and most guests arrive for one of three reasons: a weekend on the lake, a golf day at The Nest, or a dinner and a night away. What they share is a problem with the ends of the trip. Pearson is a long drive south, the Highway 400 roads fill on holiday weekends, and a lakeside dinner is not a night for anyone to be driving.
BarrieLimo.net answers both ends. You book directly on our reservation engine, enter the Friday Harbour address or your suite, choose a vehicle, and see a fixed all-in fare for it: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, 407 ETR and bridge tolls on the planned route, gratuity, with HST shown separately. No meter, no surge, no app. Our Friday Harbour attraction page covers the resort as a day out, and this page is the stay-and-transfer version.
Is Friday Harbour a hotel? What people actually book
Searchers type "Friday Harbour hotel" and "Friday Harbour Resort" interchangeably, so it is worth being plain. As of 2 October 2026 the resort's own site presents accommodation under the name Lake Simcoe Stays, and the booking site, lakesimcoestays.com, describes suites of one to four bedrooms, with balconies, water views and, on some listings, pet-friendly options. It is a professionally managed rental program for suites that qualified owners opt into, not a single conventional hotel building with a front desk and a bell stand.
That affects transport in small ways. There may be no concierge to call a car, and arrival involves a key or code step with the stay manager rather than a lobby. Read the arrival instructions from the booking, copy the building and unit number into our booking form, and the chauffeur will have the right door. We have no affiliation with Friday Harbour or Lake Simcoe Stays; we drive to the address.
Other hotels in Innisfil
Hotels in Innisfil are fewer than people expect, because most of the municipality is shoreline, farmland and subdivisions, and visitors mostly choose between the resort suites and hotels in Barrie to the north. We checked on 2 October 2026 against current booking listings that Motel 400 & Suites, on Highway 89 near Cookstown, is operating; it is the one conventional lodging in the municipality that we could confirm, and it is close to the outlet mall.
For a wider choice, the Barrie hotels page covers the city's hotels, which are 15–25 minutes from the Innisfil lakeshore, and many guests choose them for a lake weekend. Our Innisfil city page covers the wider municipality, and the hotel hub lists every area. If a hotel opens or closes we change the page; we do not name a property we have not checked.
Planning fares: Barrie and Innisfil
These are planning ranges, one way, from downtown Barrie, business sedan, all-in plus HST. Friday Harbour is on the lakeshore, so its exact quote may differ from the municipality's average; the reservation engine quotes the actual address, date and vehicle.

|---|---|---|
| Within Barrie | $110–125 | up to 10 km, 5–20 min |
| Innisfil (town and lakeshore) | $150–170 | about 15 km, 15–25 min |
| Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (YLK) | $160–185 | about 18 km, 20–25 min |
| Orillia | $215–245 | about 38 km, 30–35 min |

A return trip is priced as two one-way legs. Compare the whole list on the rates page or with the fare calculator.
Friday Harbour to Pearson airport
Guests flying out of Pearson ask the same question: how long does it take, and what does it cost from the lake? The distance from downtown Barrie to Pearson is about 97 km, 60–85 minutes down Highway 400, planning range $380–440 for a business sedan. Friday Harbour is south of downtown Barrie, so the downtown figure is a useful reference, but we do not print a number we have not quoted: enter the resort address in the engine and it shows the fixed fare for your pickup.
Terminals, curbside meeting and waiting rules are on the Pearson airport page, and the drive itself on the Barrie to Pearson route page. If your flight is early, the early-morning flights guide explains how we back-time a pickup.
Arriving by private jet: Lake Simcoe Regional Airport
Some visitors reach Friday Harbour by air without using Pearson at all. Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (YLK) is in Oro-Medonte, about 18 km from downtown Barrie, and has no scheduled airline service; it is a general-aviation and business-jet airport. Verify any operational detail, such as customs, runway or the operators on the field, on the airport's own site before you plan.
The planning range from Barrie to YLK is $160–185 for a business sedan, and we can meet a jet by arrangement; the YLK airport page, the YLK guide and the private aviation page have the procedure. The engine prices the run from YLK to Innisfil on the booking form.
Check-in day: luggage, groceries and a car that waits
Suite stays tend to mean more luggage than a hotel night: coolers, groceries, golf bags, strollers, a week of clothes. Send the passenger and bag count with the booking, because the vehicle choice depends on it. A business sedan fits three passengers and three bags, a business SUV five and five, an executive SUV or luxury minivan six and six, and an executive Sprinter up to fourteen. The fleet page has the detail.
If you are stopping at a grocery store on the way, tell us. A short stop is easy on an hourly booking, because the car and chauffeur are yours; on a one-way booking, mention it when you book and the dispatcher will plan it. Included waiting on a normal pickup is 15 minutes, then 15-minute blocks.
A golf day at The Nest, or a day on the water
The official resort site lists an 18-hole Doug Carrick-designed course, The Nest Golf Club, and a full-service marina on Lake Simcoe. Neither is ours to speak for, but both change how you use a car. A morning round is easy to cover as a one-way trip; a day that includes a round, lunch, a drive to a winery or the outlet mall, and dinner is not.
That is the case for an hourly chauffeur, our lead product: one car and one professional chauffeur kept for a three-hour minimum or the whole day. Planning figures are $135–160 an hour for a business sedan and $175–205 for a business SUV, three-hour minimum; a four-hour sedan booking is $540–640 all-in plus HST. Read the hourly versus point-to-point guide and the hourly chauffeur service page for blocks and extra time.

Dinner by the lake and a night out
The resort's site lists waterfront dining, including a beach club, and there are restaurants on the property and across Innisfil. A night out is the best argument for a chauffeur: the car arrives at your suite, takes you to dinner, waits, and brings you home, and nobody has to be the designated driver. Our restaurant nights out guide has examples.
Alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, whether for a dinner, a wedding or a party. The chauffeur is not a drinking venue; the chauffeur is how you get to and from one. That rule applies to every vehicle we book, including partner stretch limousines and party buses.
Taxi, rideshare or private car in Innisfil?
"Innisfil taxi" is a well-searched phrase, and taxis and rideshare serve the municipality for short trips. We do not pretend otherwise. A local taxi can be the sensible answer for a ride to the beach or a pizza, and rideshare is a normal choice at a moment's notice.
Where a pre-booked private car makes sense is the planned run: Pearson, YLK, Union Station, a casino night, a timed wedding. The fare is fixed and shown before you commit, tolls are included, the vehicle is a black sedan or SUV, and you do not depend on a driver being nearby at 5 a.m. A shared seat can cost less for one traveller; a private car is door to door and priced per vehicle, not per seat. Our flat-rate airport taxi alternative page sets out the comparison.
Summer weekends and long weekends
From Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, Highway 400 and the roads off it fill with cottage traffic: northbound on Friday afternoons and southbound on Sunday afternoons, worst on long weekends. Innisfil is on the Simcoe side of that traffic, so the 15–25 minute drive from Barrie can stretch; the Pearson run can add a half hour or more.
Plan around it. Leave before the Friday build-up, return on Sunday morning or after the evening peak, and book early because vehicles and chauffeurs for holiday weekends fill. Our cottage weekends and family arrivals page goes into the logistics.
Winter at the lake
Friday Harbour describes itself as all-season, and a lake in winter is a good weekend. The drive is the part to plan: Barrie is in Ontario's snowbelt, and lake-effect squalls can slow Highway 400 with little warning from November to March.
We check Ontario 511 and the forecast before a run, fit winter tires and leave margin. If conditions are poor the dispatcher contacts you before pickup. Our Highway 400 winter travel guide explains the pattern, and the winter airport transfers article covers the flight-day version.

Shopping and casino days from Innisfil
Two other places draw Innisfil guests onto the road. Tanger Outlets Cookstown, in the south of the municipality, is covered on our Tanger Outlets page; the centre's own site is tanger.com. And the casino at Georgian Downs, branded Gateway Casinos Innisfil, is on our Georgian Downs page. Local news reports that a replacement casino-hotel complex is under construction nearby; we will update the page when it opens.
Both work well as hourly days: shopping, lunch and the casino in the same car, and the chauffeur loads parcels while you eat. Alcohol is not allowed on board.
Families, pets and wheelchairs
Child, toddler and booster seats are available on request from $25 each, added at booking. Pets need prior approval: ask at booking and wait for written confirmation; some Lake Simcoe Stays listings are pet-friendly, but that is the stay's rule, and ours is separate. Service animals are welcome; mention them at booking. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available if booked in advance; tell us about the wheelchair or scooter.
Cancellation follows the sitewide rule: more than 72 hours before pickup is free; 72 hours or less is 10 %; 48 hours or less is 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100 %, measured from scheduled pickup.
Groups, weddings and corporate retreats
A group of eight to fourteen travels well in an executive Sprinter, and a delegation can be split across vehicles on one booking. Stretch limousines and party buses are partner vehicles from vetted operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network; we say so plainly, and weddings, party buses and multi-vehicle jobs are priced in writing by a coordinator.
For a wedding weekend on the lake, our wedding limo service and the venues blog cover timing and logistics. We have no affiliation with any venue, planner or resort.
Book your Friday Harbour or Innisfil ride
Open /book/, enter the Friday Harbour address or your suite, the date, the number of travellers and the vehicle, and the engine returns a fixed fare. Planners, concierges and travel agents can book directly for guests, and the travel desk can add flights and hotel nights in one file.
For the resort as a day out, read our Friday Harbour guide and the Innisfil Beach Park page, and for the official picture, the resort's own site and the Town of Innisfil are the sources.
