Friday Harbour Resort, at 3999 Friday Drive in Innisfil, is about 15 km and 15–25 minutes from downtown Barrie; a business sedan one way is a planning range of $150–170, all-in plus HST. For dinner, a concert or a golf day, book an hourly chauffeur from Barrie at $135–160 per hour (three-hour minimum) and the car waits for you.
Friday Harbour Innisfil by chauffeur: the short version
Friday Harbour is a year-round lakefront resort village on Lake Simcoe, in the Town of Innisfil, with a marina, a golf club, a beach, a promenade of restaurants and shops, a nature preserve and a calendar of events that runs through all four seasons. The resort's own site gives the address as 3999 Friday Drive, Innisfil, and describes the place as about an hour north of Toronto (Friday Harbour Resort). For guests who live in Barrie, it is the easiest "special night out" in the area: close enough for a spontaneous reservation, far enough to feel like a trip. To go without driving, book your Barrie chauffeur on BarrieLimo.net: enter your pickup and the Friday Harbour address, see the fixed fare, and choose a one-way ride, a return at a fixed time, or an hourly booking where the car waits. We are independent of the resort and name it because customers ask to be taken there.
Planning fares to Friday Harbour
These are planning ranges for a business sedan, one way, all-in (chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls on the planned route, gratuity) with HST shown separately. The lakeshore end of Innisfil is at the longer side of the town's drive-time range, and the reservation engine quotes the exact address, date and vehicle before you commit.
| Trip | Planning fare (business sedan) | Distance | Drive time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Downtown Barrie to Friday Harbour (Innisfil) | $150–170 one way | about 15 km | 15–25 min |
| Barrie to Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (YLK) | $160–185 one way | 18 km | 20–25 min |
| Barrie to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | $380–440 one way | about 97 km | 60–85 min |
| Hourly, business sedan | $135–160 per hour | 3 h minimum | car waits for you |
| Hourly, business SUV | $175–205 per hour | 3 h minimum | up to 5 guests |
| Hourly, executive SUV | $225–265 per hour | 3 h minimum | up to 6 guests |
| Hourly, first-class sedan | $350–410 per hour | 3 h minimum | up to 3 guests |
| Hourly, Sprinter | $475–550 per hour | 3 h minimum | up to 14 guests |
A four-hour sedan booking, which suits an early dinner, a stroll and a leisurely return, is about $540–640 all-in plus HST. Pearson to Friday Harbour is a longer run than the Pearson-to-Barrie leg; the reservation engine prices the Innisfil address directly. The Barrie limo price guide shows how the classes compare.
What there is to do at Friday Harbour
The resort's site lists, among other things, The Nest Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Doug Carrick; a full-service marina with slip reservations, memberships and watercraft rentals; more than a dozen dining venues; retail on the Promenade; a Games Room at The Nest; a beach with lawn games; a nature preserve with trails; accommodation through Lake Simcoe Stays; and wedding and meeting services (resort map, Lake Simcoe Stays). Dining listed there includes Lake Club Restaurant, Beach Club Restaurant, Avenue Cibi e Vini, Ember, Dirty Oar Public House, a French bakery called Parisienne, a gelato shop and a Starbucks. Menus and venues change, so check the resort's pages before you reserve a table.
Dinner at Friday Harbour: the classic booking
Most of our Friday Harbour trips are dinners. The usual pattern is a pickup at home or a Barrie hotel at 5:30 or 6 pm, arrival in time for a table at one of the waterfront restaurants, and either a fixed return at a time you choose or an hourly booking with the chauffeur waiting. There is no alcohol on board in any of our vehicles, so the evening is yours to enjoy at the table and the driving is not your problem. A four-hour hourly sedan booking, about $540–640 all-in plus HST, comfortably covers travel, a dinner and a stroll along the marina. Two one-way fares can be cheaper on paper, but the hourly option keeps the return certain on a busy summer Saturday.
Friday Harbour events: concerts, markets and the calendar
The resort publishes its own events calendar (Friday Harbour events). In the calendar we checked, there were a summer concert series on the CIBC Pier, live music at Lake Club on Saturday evenings, a late-night Saturday programme at Lake Club for guests 19 and over, a Thanksgiving programme, a Holiday Market in late autumn, a March Break programme that includes an outdoor skating rink (weather permitting) and an Easter weekend programme. Dates, times and ticketing change each season and some events sell out, so book your event tickets with the resort and book the car with us. We do not publish event dates. A concert night is a good use of a fixed return: the chauffeur is outside at the time you set, and you skip the parking queue.
Hourly chauffeur for Friday Harbour
Our lead product is the hourly private chauffeur: one car and one professional chauffeur kept for three hours or more. For Friday Harbour it works for three situations. A golf day with a pickup, the round, a clubhouse lunch and a return, where the executive SUV carries up to six players' bags. A long lunch and afternoon with friends, where the car waits and no one has to plan the ride home. A combined Innisfil day, linking the resort with Innisfil Beach Park, Tanger Outlets Cookstown and Georgian Downs. Compare the approaches in hourly versus point to point.
Golf at The Nest
The resort lists The Nest Golf Club as an 18-hole Doug Carrick design with a practice facility, an academy and an indoor TruGolf simulator. For a golf outing we send an executive SUV for up to six players with bags, or a Sprinter for a corporate group of up to fourteen. Tee times, rates, memberships and dress code are the club's to set; check them with the club. Our golf outing guide for Barrie courses covers how to plan the transport for a group.
Weddings and celebrations at Friday Harbour
The resort offers wedding packages and planning, and we drive wedding parties to venues across Simcoe County. A typical plan has a chauffeured car for the couple, a Sprinter for the wedding party, and a later return for guests who do not want to drive. Stretch limousines and Rolls-Royce or Maybach cars are partner vehicles from vetted operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, and the booking says so. No alcohol is allowed on board any of our vehicles, including at weddings. See wedding limo service and how to book a wedding limo.

A sample Friday Harbour evening
A four-hour sedan plan inside the planning figure: 5:15 pm pickup in Barrie, 5:40 pm drop at the Promenade for a stroll along the marina before a seven o'clock table, 7:00 to 9:15 pm dinner while the car waits, 9:15 pm a last walk to the water or a coffee, and 9:30 pm home. On a summer evening swap the stroll for the CIBC Pier, and in the colder months for an early reservation so the return runs before the roads cool. If the dinner is a celebration, say so on the booking and the chauffeur will plan the arrival at the right door.
Staying at Friday Harbour
The resort's nav links to Lake Simcoe Stays for accommodation, and we make no claims about specific rooms, rates or availability; check the resort or Lake Simcoe Stays directly. What we can say is how guests arrive: from Pearson via Highway 400, from Union Station or downtown Toronto, or from Barrie. Our Friday Harbour and Innisfil hotel transfers page lists where cars stop, and concierges and planners can book on behalf of guests.
Pearson, Union Station and Billy Bishop to Friday Harbour
Guests landing at Pearson can be met flight-tracked, with 30 minutes of waiting on Canadian domestic and US arrivals and 60 minutes on other international arrivals, from actual landing. The standard pickup is curbside at the terminal's commercial pickup area; meet and greet inside arrivals is an optional add-on chosen at booking. Barrie is about 97 km from Pearson with a planning range of $380–440, and Innisfil is a little further up the corridor; the engine prices the exact address. Union Station and Billy Bishop pickups work the same way. See Pearson airport transfers and Barrie to Pearson.
Boaters, marina guests and luggage
Marina members, charter guests and boat owners arriving by air often have a lot of bags. A business SUV takes five passengers and five bags, an executive SUV six and six, a luxury minivan six with sliding doors, and a Sprinter up to fourteen. Say on the booking what you are bringing, including golf bags or fishing gear. The marina's slip reservations and rentals are the resort's business; the chauffeur's job is getting you and the bags to the dock.
Parking, drop-offs and where the car stops
The resort publishes a parking page and a resort map, and its home page mentions Promenade parking. Rules and charges can change and are the resort's to set, so check before you go. A chauffeur drop-off at the main Promenade entrance is straightforward on a quiet weekday; on a busy summer weekend or event night the dispatcher builds in extra time and confirms the best drop with you. The advantage of a driven car is that you do not circle a full lot.
Nature preserve, beach and family days
The resort's nature preserve is described on its site as a trail network supporting more than 40 bird species, with dogs on leash and no motorized vehicles, and the beach has lawn games (nature preserve). Families can add infant, child, toddler and booster seats from $25 each at booking. Pets travel with us by prior approval, requested at booking and confirmed in writing; service animals are welcome and should be mentioned at booking.
Winter and shoulder-season trips
Friday Harbour programmes events in winter, including an outdoor rink for March Break and a Holiday Market, so the road matters. Highway 400 between Barrie and Highway 89 is in the snowbelt: lake-effect squalls from November to March can slow or close it with little warning, and side roads in Innisfil are slower to clear than the 400. Our vehicles run winter tires from November to April, dispatch is live 24 hours a day, and the dispatcher checks 511 Ontario before each trip.
Accessibility
A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available if you book in advance and tell us about the wheelchair or scooter; we do not print a ramp specification. The resort lists an accessibility page on its site. Our chauffeurs help with seat belts and stow folding walkers and manual wheelchairs.
Book direct and cancel fairly
More than 72 hours before pickup there is no charge; at 72 hours or less 10 %; at 48 hours or less 50 %; at 24 hours or less, or a no-show, 100 %, measured from the scheduled pickup. Booking direct with BarrieLimo.net means the fare you see is the fare you pay, one dispatch desk and no aggregator commission. For flights and hotels as part of a longer trip, see the travel desk, and for the rest of the places we drive to, the attractions hub.
