Limo service to Casino Rama from Barrie: fare, distance and drive time
Casino Rama Resort is at Rama, east of Orillia, and the drive from downtown Barrie is about 47 km: Highway 400 north, Highway 11 through Orillia, then Rama Road, which takes 35–45 minutes in normal traffic. That is not a trip you want to do twice by taxi at night, and it is not a trip anyone wants to drive after an evening out. BarrieLimo.net's Casino Rama limo is a chauffeured car priced as a fixed, all-in fare shown before you confirm.
The resort has its own site, casinorama.com, for what's on, dining and rooms. We are not affiliated with the resort; we drive guests to its door and home again.
Casino Rama fares: sedan, SUV, minivan and Sprinter
One way from downtown Barrie, planning figures all-in plus HST. The reservation engine quotes the exact address, date and vehicle before you confirm.
| Vehicle | Seats | One way to Casino Rama (47 km, 35–45 min) | By the hour (minimum) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | 3 | $230–265 | $135–160 per hour (3 h) |
| Business SUV | 5 | $300–345 | $175–205 per hour (3 h) |
| Luxury minivan | 6 | quoted by the engine | quoted on request |
| Executive SUV | 6 | $360–415 | $225–265 per hour (3 h) |
| Executive Sprinter | up to 14 | $920–1,060 | $475–550 per hour (3 h) |
| Stretch limousine (partner vehicle) | 8 to 14 | quoted by the engine | $400–470 per hour (4 h) |
Fares are per vehicle, not per seat. Four friends in a business SUV split $300–345 four ways; a group of twelve in a Sprinter divides $920–1,060 twelve ways. For more detail on the route itself, see Barrie to Casino Rama, and for every class see rates.

One way, there and back, or by the hour?
This is the question every casino night turns on, and the honest answer depends on whether you know when you want to leave.
- Two one-way bookings (outbound now, a scheduled pickup later) cost twice the one-way fare, and they suit nights where you will leave at a set time: a dinner reservation at the resort, a show that finishes at a known hour, a curfew for the babysitter.
- An hourly chauffeur (three-hour minimum) means one car and one chauffeur for the whole evening: the clock starts at your pickup in Barrie, runs through the drive each way and the time at Rama, and stops when you are home. You leave when you want, not when a booked pickup says so.
If you are unsure, ask for both prices on the booking page and compare. Our hourly chauffeur service page explains the clock, and the hourly vs point-to-point guide shows the arithmetic.
A typical casino night, hour by hour
Here is how an evening usually runs when you book an hourly chauffeur from Barrie:
- 6:00 p.m.: chauffeur arrives at your door; bags, scarves and the person who is always late.
- 6:10 p.m.: Highway 400 north and Highway 11 through Orillia; about 35–45 minutes.
- 6:50 p.m.: drop at the resort entrance; the chauffeur confirms where you will be collected.
- 6:50 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.: dinner, the gaming floor or a show; the chauffeur waits nearby and you text when you want to leave.
- 11:15 p.m.: car at the door; the drive home takes about the same 35–45 minutes.
- Midnight: home, with the clock stopped.
Nothing in this timetable is fixed. If the show ends late or dinner runs long, extra time on the hourly booking runs in 30-minute blocks at the same rate.
Will the car wait for me at Casino Rama?
On an hourly booking, yes: the point of the hourly chauffeur is that the car and driver stay with you. The chauffeur waits at or near the resort, and the exact pickup point is agreed on the night; our dispatch is staffed 24 hours a day, so you can message at any hour about a change. On a one-way booking, the chauffeur drops you and leaves; the return is a separate booking at a time you choose.
For the return, we recommend booking it at the same time as the outbound trip, even if you plan to adjust it later. Cancellations and changes follow the usual schedule: free more than 72 hours before pickup, then 10 per cent at 72 hours or less, 50 per cent at 48 hours or less, and 100 per cent at 24 hours or less or a no-show, measured from the scheduled pickup.
Is there a bus or shuttle to Casino Rama from Barrie?
People do search for "casino rama bus", "bus to casino rama" and "casino rama shuttle", and it is a reasonable question. BarrieLimo.net does not run a scheduled seat-by-seat shuttle; we run private cars and vans priced per vehicle. The resort's own site describes coach and charter services, so for anything that sounds like a public or group bus check casinorama.com directly, and confirm times, pickup points and costs before you rely on them.
Where a private car makes sense: a small group that wants a door-to-door pickup, a return at your own time, and a vehicle that is not shared with strangers. Where a bus may suit better: a large group that is happy to follow a published timetable and a single pickup point. We would rather you choose the right one than the one we sell.
Casino Rama taxi or a private car?
A taxi is a fair choice for a short hop, but 47 km is not a short hop. The usual surprises are a metered fare that climbs with traffic and waiting, the question of a return fare from Rama late at night, and uncertain availability when the show lets out and everyone wants a car at once. A fixed fare shown before you confirm removes the first, and a booked return removes the second and third.
For a private car, the price is the price: chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, any 407 ETR or bridge tolls on the planned route, and gratuity are included, with HST shown separately. There is no meter and no surge, even on a Friday night.
Groups: eight, fourteen or thirty
For up to three guests, a sedan; up to five, a business SUV; up to six, an executive SUV or luxury minivan; up to fourteen, the executive Sprinter, which suits a birthday group or a staff night. Larger groups, or anyone who wants a stretch limousine, come from vetted partner operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, and a party bus seats 14 to 36. Partner vehicles are at most four model years old, and large or multi-vehicle jobs are priced in writing by a coordinator.
An important house rule for groups: alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, including stretch limousines and party buses. You can enjoy the resort; you cannot drink on the way there or back.
Shows at the Entertainment Centre
The resort's entertainment programme draws a lot of searches, and a show night is the best time to book an hourly chauffeur: the car waits through the performance and there is no scramble for a ride afterwards. For current shows and dates, always use the resort's own entertainment page; we never publish dates for events we do not run. Our Casino Rama concerts guide covers the logistics of getting there and home again, and our Casino Rama attraction page covers the visitor side.
For other concerts and sports, see concerts and game-day limo.
Age, ID and house rules at Casino Rama
The resort states on its own site that guests must be 19 years of age or older and carry valid government-issued photo identification, with guests aged 21 and under asked for a second name identification. Bring the right ID for everyone in your group who plans to go inside; the chauffeur cannot help at the door. Guests under 19 should plan to stay home; the resort's own rules decide who may enter, not ours.
Check the resort's website for dress codes, dining reservations and anything else that changes by season.
Responsible gambling
Gambling should be entertainment with a limit you set before you leave home. Set a budget, agree a leave time, and decide in advance that the car, not the next hand, sets the end of the evening. An hourly chauffeur helps in a small way: the clock is visible and so is the cost of staying.
If gambling stops being fun, help is available. Ontario's PlaySmart site offers tools and information on responsible play, and ConnexOntario offers free, confidential information and referral for gambling concerns, any hour of the day.
Alcohol on the way home
Many guests have a drink at the resort, and that is exactly what a chauffeur is for: nobody has to drive, and you are home safe. What we do not allow is drinking in the vehicle itself. There is no alcohol on board in our sedans, SUVs, Sprinters, stretch limousines or party buses, and the same rule applies to bottles brought home from the resort: ask dispatch at booking if you plan to carry any, and do not open anything on board.
Winter nights on the road to Rama
Between November and March, the road from Barrie to Orillia and Rama is a snowbelt road. Lake-effect squalls off Georgian Bay can slow Highway 400 and Highway 11 with little warning, and a bright afternoon can turn into a white-knuckle evening. Dispatch watches conditions on Ontario 511 and may suggest an earlier pickup, or a later return, on a stormy night.
Cottage-country traffic matters in summer: Friday afternoons northbound and Sunday afternoons southbound are heavy from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, worst on long weekends. If you are heading to Rama on a summer Friday, add time to the 35–45 minutes. Our Highway 400 winter travel guide has the winter checklist.
Birthdays, bachelorettes and staff nights
A casino evening is a staple of local birthday and staff celebrations, and the hourly chauffeur lets you start with dinner in Barrie and finish at the resort without a single parking or driver question. For a birthday limo or a bachelor and bachelorette night, a Sprinter or partner stretch limousine keeps the whole group together. For a corporate evening, our corporate accounts desk can invoice the booking.
Staying overnight at Rama
Many guests stay at the resort or in nearby Orillia and want a one-way ride in and a ride out the next day. Our Orillia and Casino Rama hotels page covers transfers around the resort and the town, and the Orillia page covers the city. We drive to hotels; we are not affiliated with any. If you want flights or accommodation arranged around the visit, ask our travel desk.
Accessibility, luggage and pets
A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available if you book in advance and tell us about the wheelchair or scooter. Service animals are welcome; mention them at booking. Pets need prior approval: request at booking and wait for written confirmation. Child seats (infant or child, toddler, booster) are available on request from $25 each; add them at booking.
For a night at the resort with an overnight bag or two, a sedan has room for three passengers and three bags; larger parties should step up a class.
How to book your Casino Rama chauffeur direct
Book on our own reservation engine: pick the vehicle, enter your pickup address and either the one-way trips or the number of hours, and you see the fixed fare before you confirm. There is no app and no aggregator commission, and one dispatch desk answers for the whole trip. On a night out, we recommend booking at least a few days ahead and, for Friday and Saturday nights, a week or more.
