The Barrie limo fare calculator returns a planning range for a private car between downtown Barrie and 38 destinations - Pearson, Billy Bishop, Union Station, the ski hills, Casino Rama, Muskoka and the towns of Simcoe County - for each vehicle class, one way or return, with the distance and the usual drive time. The figures are all-in (chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls on the planned route, airport fees, gratuity) before HST. For the exact fixed fare, put the trip into the reservation engine.
How the limo fare calculator works out its numbers
Every destination carries a business-sedan range taken from the same table as the rates page. Larger vehicles are priced from it: a business SUV at about 1.3 times, a luxury minivan 1.5, an executive SUV 1.6, a first-class sedan 2.6, a fourteen-seat Sprinter 4 and the Jet Sprinter 5.5. On the four routes the reservation engine has quoted - Casino Rama, Blue Mountain Village, Pearson and Union Station - each class starts at the engine's own figure instead, and the luxury minivan is quoted by the engine. Short trips in and around Barrie have a minimum fare for each class, so the multiplier only takes over on longer runs. A return is two transfers. Stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce and party buses are partner vehicles priced in writing by a coordinator - see stretch limousine and party bus rental.
When the hourly rate is the better buy
If the day has several stops, or the car has to wait - a meeting in Alliston, a ski afternoon, dinner and a show at Casino Rama - an hourly chauffeur usually costs less than a string of one-way fares plus waiting time. A four-hour sedan booking is $540-640 all-in plus HST. Hourly vs point-to-point compares the two properly.
Not a taxi fare calculator: why this fare is fixed in advance
A taxi fare calculator estimates what a meter might read. This one works the other way round. A meter or an app prices the trip while it is happening, which on Highway 400 means the passenger pays for the squall near Highway 89, the Sunday cottage queue and the surge after a late flight. A fixed fare is settled before the car moves. If you travel light and the times suit you, the GO train from Allandale Waterfront costs far less as far as Union Station - Barrie to Pearson: GO train, shuttle or limo sets out the trade-offs, and GO Transit has the current timetable.
What every fare already includes
Flight or train tracking; 30 minutes of waiting after a Canadian or US flight lands, 60 minutes after other international arrivals and 15 minutes at any other pickup; curbside pickup at the terminal; luggage handling; tolls on the planned route; and the gratuity. Extra waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks, meet and greet inside arrivals is an optional add-on, and child seats start at $25 each.
