BarrieLimo.net runs Huntsville limo and car service from Barrie: a business sedan is a planning $490–565 all-in plus HST for about 130 km and 80–95 minutes up Highway 400 and Highway 11. The same car and chauffeur can be kept by the hour, from $135–160, three-hour minimum. Book direct and the reservation engine shows one fixed fare.
Huntsville limo and car service: what the trip involves
Huntsville is the busiest town on the northern stretch of Highway 11 and the gateway to two very different sets of customers. Cottage owners and weekend guests head for the lakes. Visitors for Algonquin Provincial Park turn east onto Highway 60. Both groups want the same thing from a Huntsville limo: a driver who knows the road, a fare they can plan around and a car that is clean and warm when they step out of it.
BarrieLimo.net is dispatched from Barrie, which is the natural starting point for the run. Highway 400 carries you to the Highway 11 split just north of the city, and from there the road is a long, steady push through Orillia, Gravenhurst and Bracebridge. The reservation engine quotes the exact address and date, and our hourly chauffeur service turns the same car into a day-long driver.
Fixed fares between Barrie and Huntsville
These planning ranges are for a business sedan, one way, all-in (chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls, gratuity) plus HST, from downtown Barrie. They apply in both directions. The engine prices your real pickup, so a lakeside address outside the town can move the figure.
| From downtown Barrie to | Distance | Typical drive | Sedan, all-in + HST |
|---|---|---|---|
| Orillia | about 38 km | 30–35 min | $215–245 |
| Gravenhurst | about 70 km | 45–55 min | $310–355 |
| Muskoka Airport (YQA) | about 80 km | 50–60 min | $340–390 |
| Bracebridge | about 90 km | 60–70 min | $370–425 |
| Port Carling | about 110 km | 75–90 min | $430–495 |
| Huntsville and Lake of Bays | about 130 km | 80–95 min | $490–565 |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 97 km | 60–85 min | $380–440 |
A business SUV to Huntsville is about $635–735, an executive SUV about $785–905, a luxury minivan about $735–850 and a first-class sedan about $1,275–1,470. A Sprinter for a group runs about $1,960–2,260.
Huntsville to Pearson airport: the long run south
"Huntsville to Pearson airport" is a smaller search than the town itself, but it is the trip with the most to lose from a poor plan. Our published table is built from Barrie, so we do not print a single Huntsville-to-Pearson fare. The two legs are on it: Huntsville to Barrie is about 130 km and 80–95 minutes, and Barrie to Pearson is about 97 km and 60–85 minutes. On the usual route the Highway 400 and Highway 11 corridor carries you past Barrie without entering the city, so the real distance is a little under the sum, but it is still a long haul of well over two hours.
Enter Huntsville as the pickup and Pearson as the destination in the engine and it shows the fixed fare. Build in a generous margin for a morning flight, and do read the Barrie to Pearson route page, because the final 97 km is where Highway 400 and the 407 matter. Flight tracking and the included waiting time are the same as on a Barrie pickup.
Which road, which time: Highway 400, Highway 11 and the long weekends
The Muskoka corridor has a rhythm that cottagers learn quickly. From Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, northbound traffic builds on Friday afternoon on Highway 400 and Highway 11, and southbound traffic piles up on Sunday afternoon. Long weekends are the extreme version. A Huntsville-to-Barrie run that is 80 minutes on a Tuesday morning can be a good deal longer on a Sunday evening.
The sensible habits are the old ones: leave early or late, avoid the Sunday mid-afternoon wave, and let dispatch know your hard deadline. Our chauffeurs check Ontario 511 before leaving and tell you if a collision or closure changes the plan. The fixed fare does not change when the traffic does. The Barrie to Muskoka route page explains the corridor in more detail.
Winter on Highway 11: squalls, snow and winter tires
North of Orillia the weather turns more serious. Snow squalls come in off Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe, and the Muskoka hills can hold ice that does not appear on a map of the city. Our fleet runs winter tires from November to April, our chauffeurs are used to the timing and our dispatchers add margin on days when the forecast calls for blowing snow.
If a squall closes or slows a stretch of the highway, you will hear from dispatch before you hear it on the radio. Environment Canada's weather alerts and 511 guide the decision, and the guide to Highway 400 winter travel explains what we do differently on those days. A Huntsville run in a storm is a trip where a late-model SUV with proper tires and a chauffeur who has done the road before is genuinely safer than a rental car and a hurried schedule.

Huntsville taxi or private car: an honest comparison
People search for a Huntsville taxi every month, and a cab is the right answer for many short trips. A local cab is fine for a ride across town. The trouble starts when the trip is long, the time matters, or the pickup is a lake road at the end of a long driveway. For a run to Barrie, Pearson or Muskoka Airport, ask the cab company what it will charge and when it can be there before you rely on it.
A private car makes sense when the fare must be fixed before the trip, when you have luggage or a group, when you are heading to an airport on a schedule, or when you want a chauffeur for a day. For a cheap local errand, use a local cab. For a long run or an exact time, book direct and the engine gives you a number you can plan around. Ontario Northland publishes its intercity services if you prefer scheduled public transport; check there for what runs today.
Algonquin Park from Huntsville
Highway 60 leaves Highway 11 in Huntsville and runs east to the park's West Gate, which the park describes as about 43.6 km from the junction. The Highway 60 corridor then carries on through the park past campgrounds, trailheads and lookouts. In autumn, when colours peak in late September and October, it is among the busiest roads in the region.
A one-way transfer from Barrie to Huntsville is the planning $490–565. A day in the park is a good use of an hourly chauffeur: drop at a trailhead, wait or tour nearby, and collect you when you are ready. See Algonquin Provincial Park and our Barrie to Algonquin and Huntsville guide for more. The park's own visitor information covers permits, trails and seasonal closures; we simply drive you there and are not affiliated with the park.

Group of Seven murals, the Algonquin Theatre and downtown Huntsville
Downtown Huntsville is compact and easy to enjoy on foot, and it has an unusual attraction: the Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery, a free public exhibit of murals recreating works by the Group of Seven and Tom Thomson on building walls, with satellite sites in nearby villages and in the park. Details are at the Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery site.
The Algonquin Theatre hosts the Huntsville Festival of the Arts, whose programming is published on its site; check there for current dates. A pre-theatre dinner downtown and a late return to Barrie or a Lake of Bays cottage is exactly the kind of evening where a chauffeur booked for three or four hours removes the late-night highway from the plan.
Muskoka Heritage Place and a family day out
Muskoka Heritage Place in Huntsville is a heritage site operated by the Town, and it advertises train rides on special days such as Thanksgiving Day; the town's Muskoka Heritage Place site has the current programme. Families often combine a visit with a stop at the lake and lunch downtown. A luxury minivan or an executive SUV suits a family with children and car seats, and the hourly rate means nobody has to hurry.
Our Muskoka, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville guide describes the whole corridor and what to do in each town. If you plan to stop at Santa's Village in Bracebridge on the way up, see our Santa's Village page.
Lake of Bays, Baysville, Dwight and Dorset
Lake of Bays is the big, irregular lake south-east of Huntsville, with small communities such as Baysville, Dorset and Dwight along its shore and nearby roads. Many of the properties are seasonal cottages with long private lanes, and winter plowing varies. Tell us in advance if your address is on a private road and what the access is like; chauffeurs would rather ask than guess.
Cottage openings and closings are busy booking periods for Huntsville and Lake of Bays: owners arrive with bedding, tools and a week's groceries and need an executive SUV or a Sprinter. The cottage country car service page and the cottage opening and closing guide explain how a handover works.
Hospital and medical appointments
Huntsville Hospital (the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital site of Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare) is the town's hospital, and it serves a wide rural area. Patients and families sometimes need transport between Huntsville, Bracebridge and Barrie for appointments, and a private car is a calm way to make a long day manageable.
Our chauffeurs help with walkers and bags, wait between appointments on an hourly booking and keep the family informed. The medical appointments page explains how we plan, and the RVH transportation article covers the Barrie side. We are not a medical transport service and do not provide medical care.
Resorts, lodges and hotels around Huntsville
Huntsville has a deep stock of resorts, lodges and rental properties on Fairy Lake, Lake Vernon, Peninsula Lake and Lake of Bays. Whether any given property is open, who runs it or how it names its drop-off point changes over time, so we do not publish a list here. Tell the chauffeur the address, the arrival time and whether there is a gate code, and the booking records it.
The Muskoka resorts page covers hotel and resort transfers in the district, and the travel desk can arrange flights, rooms and packages with BookingWorldwide.net. Concierges and event planners can book direct on a guest's behalf.
Muskoka Airport and the Gravenhurst side
Muskoka Airport (YQA) in Gravenhurst is the closest airfield for many Huntsville-bound travellers. Check Discover Muskoka and the airport's own information before relying on any service there. From Barrie it is about 80 km and 50–60 minutes, $340–390 for a sedan.
Our Muskoka Airport page explains the arrangement, and the Muskoka Airport private aviation page covers aircraft-side pickups. Muskoka Airport is a place we drive to and we have no affiliation with it.
Hourly chauffeur in Huntsville: the best-value way to see Muskoka
A one-way trip to Huntsville is a long drive. A day in Huntsville with a rental car is a long day of finding places. An hourly chauffeur is the more civilised alternative: a business sedan from $135–160 an hour, an SUV from $175–205, an executive SUV from $225–265, each with a three-hour minimum. A four-hour sedan booking is $540–640 all-in plus HST.
Typical Huntsville days include a morning at the lake, lunch downtown, a stop at the murals and a drive to the park for sunset. The engine shows how the clock and the pick-up point work for your address, which is worth reading before you commit. See the private chauffeur service page for how as-directed days are planned.

Booking direct and what to expect
Book on BarrieLimo.net rather than through an app or marketplace. There is no aggregator commission, the engine shows an all-in fare before you confirm and HST is shown separately. You receive a confirmation and then the chauffeur's details before the trip.
Cancellation is measured from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours ahead is free, 72 hours or less is 10 per cent, 48 hours or less is 50 per cent, and 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100 per cent. Included waiting is 15 minutes on non-airport pickups, then 15-minute blocks.
