Limo service for Markham and Richmond Hill with BarrieLimo.net runs from Barrie dispatch: a business sedan between downtown Barrie and either town is a planning range of $370–425 all-in plus HST, about 90 km and 55–75 minutes by Highway 400 and the 407 ETR, tolls included. Hourly sedans are $135–160 an hour, three-hour minimum. Book direct.
Limo service in Markham and Richmond Hill, run from Barrie
Most people searching for limo service in Markham are looking for a company on their own doorstep. We are honest about what we are: a Barrie, Ontario black car service with its own dispatch and chauffeurs, whose natural work is the trip between Simcoe County and York Region. If your day starts or ends in Barrie, Innisfil, Springwater or Bradford and touches Markham or Richmond Hill, you can book the car directly and see one fixed fare before you confirm. If you live in York Region and want a car to Barrie, the cottage, a ski hill or Casino Rama, the same engine prices it from your address.
This page covers both directions, the hourly chauffeur option that suits a day of meetings across the two towns, and the honest comparison with a local taxi, the GO train and driving yourself.
Fares between Barrie and Markham or Richmond Hill
The figures below are planning ranges for a one-way trip between downtown Barrie and Markham or Richmond Hill, all-in (chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, the 407 ETR and any bridge tolls on the planned route, gratuity), with HST shown separately. The reservation engine quotes the exact address, date, time and vehicle; it never shows less than these ranges for the same trip.
| Vehicle | Passengers / bags | One way, Barrie ↔ Markham or Richmond Hill | Distance | Drive time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Business sedan | 3 / 3 | $370–425 | about 90 km | 55–75 min |
| Business SUV | 5 / 5 | $480–555 | about 90 km | 55–75 min |
| Executive SUV | 6 / 6 | $590–680 | about 90 km | 55–75 min |
| First-class sedan | 3 / 3 | $960–1,105 | about 90 km | 55–75 min |
| Sprinter | up to 14 | $1,480–1,700 | about 90 km | 55–75 min |
For a sense of scale, Newmarket and Aurora sit between Barrie and these towns at $280–320 (60 km, 40–55 minutes), and Vaughan and King City at $340–390 (80 km, 50–65 minutes). The fare calculator and the rates page show how the bands are built.
The route: Highway 400, the 407 ETR and the 404
From Barrie the road south is Highway 400, past Bradford and King City, to the interchange with the tolled 407 ETR. Turn east on the 407 and Richmond Hill and Markham open up quickly: the Yonge Street, Leslie, Woodbine, Warden and Kennedy exits serve most addresses, and the 404 crosses the 407 between the two towns. A pickup near Highway 7 and Yonge is a shorter run than one in northern Markham or beyond Unionville, which is why the engine prices the street address rather than the town name.
Our chauffeurs choose the 407 whenever it saves real time and the fare you confirmed already covers it. On a clear mid-morning the run is near the low end of 55 to 75 minutes. At 7:30 on a weekday morning or on a Friday afternoon the high end is realistic, and the dispatcher adds the margin when you give an appointment time.
What the fixed fare includes
One number covers the chauffeur, the vehicle, fuel, the 407 ETR and bridge tolls on the planned route, gratuity and any airport fees, with HST shown on its own line. That removes the two small surprises of a metered trip across York Region: the toll you did not know about and the final fare that grew in traffic. There is no surge pricing on a snowy Friday.
Waiting is included too. On an ordinary pickup the chauffeur waits 15 minutes before 15-minute blocks begin; on airport pickups the included time is 30 minutes for Canadian domestic and US flights and 60 minutes for other international arrivals, counted from actual landing. Child seats (infant, toddler, booster) can be added at booking from $25 each.
Hourly chauffeur for a day across York Region
The lead product is the hourly private chauffeur: one car and one professional chauffeur kept at your disposal, three hours minimum for a sedan, SUV or van. A sedan is $135–160 an hour all-in plus HST; a business SUV $175–205; an executive SUV $225–265; a first-class sedan $350–410. A four-hour sedan booking, for example, is $540–640.
Hourly beats a string of one-way fares whenever the plan has stops and waiting: a site visit in Markham, lunch in Unionville, a client meeting on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill and the return north. The car waits outside, the luggage and documents stay in the back, and nobody hunts for parking. Our private chauffeur page and the hourly vs point-to-point guide help you decide.
Markham: where our chauffeurs go
Markham is large and spread out, so a good pickup note matters. Typical destinations include Unionville's Main Street, the office parks along Highway 7 and the 404 corridor, the restaurants and shopping centres on Highway 7 and Kennedy Road, and Markham Stouffville Hospital on Church Street, which is run by Oak Valley Health. The Markham Fair at the Markham Fairgrounds is usually held in early October; check the official fair site for this year's dates.
The City of Markham and York Region publish roadworks and event notices that sometimes change a drop-off. Tell us the building name and the entrance you want, and we note it on the booking.
Richmond Hill: Yonge Street, hospitals and offices
Richmond Hill is organised around Yonge Street. Hillcrest Mall and the Highway 7 intersection are a major node, with the Richmond Hill Centre bus terminal close by, and the northern neighbourhoods around Elgin Mills and Lake Wilcox sit further up the same spine. Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital on Trench Street is run by Mackenzie Health, and families driving up from Barrie for appointments often prefer a chauffeur to the Yonge Street parking hunt.
Business travellers use Richmond Hill for meetings in the office parks around Highway 7, Leslie and the 404. The City of Richmond Hill publishes the local notices. For regular visits, see our corporate car service.

Markham or Richmond Hill to Pearson airport
Both towns are a cross-city run from Pearson, and that is exactly where a local taxi or ride-hail often wins on price for a single traveller. If you want a pre-booked, flight-tracked car, the engine prices Pearson from your address and the figure moves with the pickup point, so we do not print a planning range for that leg. What we can publish is the Barrie leg: Barrie to Toronto Pearson is $380–440 for a business sedan (about 97 km, 60–85 minutes), and our Barrie to Pearson route page sets out every vehicle.
For Pearson pickups, flight tracking is on every trip, curbside pickup at the commercial pickup area is included, and meet and greet inside arrivals is an optional add-on on the booking form. Check Pearson's ground transportation page for terminal information.
GO train, shuttle, taxi or private car?
Markham and Richmond Hill are well placed for GO Transit: the Stouffville line serves Markham, and the Richmond Hill line serves Richmond Hill. The GO Barrie line runs from Barrie to Union Station. Check the GO site for current schedules and fares before you rely on any connection; we do not quote them here.
- GO train: the budget choice on a good timetable, with luggage and the last mile still to solve.
- Shared shuttle: a seat in a van; cheaper for one traveller, but you ride on the operator's schedule.
- Taxi or ride-hail: sensible for a short local hop.
- Private car: door to door, on your schedule, priced per vehicle, not per seat, so it improves as the group grows.
Our Barrie to Pearson GO train vs limo guide walks through the trade-offs.
Taxi in Markham or Richmond Hill: when a local cab is the better choice
If you need a short hop inside Markham or Richmond Hill, a local taxi or ride-hail app is almost always the economical answer, and we would rather say so than send a Barrie car across York Region for ten minutes. Our value is the long, planned run: Barrie to a York Region address, a day with several stops, an airport transfer with flight tracking, a return after dark when you would rather not drive.
Our fares are premium-priced and we do not apologise for it: you are paying for a commercial vehicle kept to a standard, a professional chauffeur, a fixed all-in number and a dispatch desk that is staffed through the night. Price-sensitive travellers have honest alternatives, and our flat-rate airport taxi comparison explains what to ask any operator.
From Markham or Richmond Hill to cottage country
Muskoka weekends begin with a drive that goes straight through Barrie. Highway 400 carries you up to Highway 11 just north of the city, then on to Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Planning fares from downtown Barrie: Gravenhurst $310–355 (70 km, 45–55 minutes), Bracebridge $370–425 (90 km, 60–70 minutes), Port Carling $430–495 (110 km, 75–90 minutes), Huntsville $490–565 (130 km, 80–95 minutes).
A York Region pickup is a longer run than those figures, so the engine's number will be higher; it prices your whole trip from your door. The cottage country car service page covers opening and closing weekends, groceries, dogs (by prior approval) and kayak racks.
Ski days from York Region
Snow Valley in Springwater, Horseshoe Resort and Hardwood Ski and Bike in Oro-Medonte, Mount St. Louis Moonstone near Coldwater and Blue Mountain near Collingwood are all within reach. Planning fares from Barrie: Horseshoe and Oro-Medonte $180–205 (25 km, 20–30 minutes), Blue Mountain Village $300–345 (66 km, 60–70 minutes). The ski resort limo page and the Blue Mountain hotels page go deeper.
A business SUV ($175–205 an hour hourly, three-hour minimum) takes five people and their skis; the chauffeur waits while you ski, so you never drive home on a dark snowbelt highway after a long day on the hill.
A night at Casino Rama from York Region
Casino Rama Resort is at Rama, east of Orillia. From downtown Barrie it is $230–265 for a business sedan, 47 km and 35–45 minutes. From Markham or Richmond Hill the whole trip is a long evening, which is where the Casino Rama limo service and an hourly chauffeur make sense: one car there, the chauffeur waits as long as the night lasts, and nobody has to watch the clock or the road home. Casino Rama is a place we drive to; we have no affiliation with it. Check its official site for current details.
No alcohol may be consumed in our vehicles, including on a night out, and the chauffeur is the person who makes the ride home calm.
Highway 400 snow squalls and cottage-weekend traffic
The trip between York Region and Barrie is easy in July and sometimes hard in January. Barrie sits in Ontario's snowbelt, and lake-effect squalls off Georgian Bay can slow or close Highway 400 between Barrie and Highway 89 with little warning from November to March. Cottage-country traffic then clogs the 400 and Highway 11 northbound on Friday afternoons and southbound on Sunday afternoons from Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, worst on long weekends.
Our dispatchers check Ontario 511 before every winter trip and build the margin in. The Highway 400 winter travel guide lists the signs to watch.

- Business SUV: five passengers and five bags, four-wheel drive, a good ski or hockey choice.
- Executive SUV or luxury minivan: six passengers and six bags; vans suit strollers and child seats.
- Sprinter: up to fourteen; our Sprinter and group transportation page covers crews and wedding parties.
- Jet Sprinter: a VIP lounge Sprinter for seven, $650–750 an hour, three-hour minimum.
Stretch limousines, Rolls-Royce or Maybach and party buses are partner vehicles from vetted operators in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network. The fleet page lists every class.
Weddings, birthdays and family celebrations
York Region families often book a car for the Barrie leg of a celebration: a cottage wedding weekend, a milestone birthday at a Simcoe County venue, a family reunion. Our wedding limo page covers the day itself, and the stretch limo page covers the partner vehicles. Stretch limousines start at $400–470 an hour with a four-hour minimum; a Rolls-Royce or Maybach starts from $675 an hour.
Alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles, including limousines, party buses, weddings and proms. Pets need prior approval in writing; service animals are welcome and should be mentioned at booking.
Business trips between Simcoe County and York Region
Simcoe County companies with clients in York Region, and York Region companies with sites in Barrie or Alliston, can put recurring runs on one account. A site visit to a plant in Bradford or Alliston from a Markham office is a good example, as is a Georgian College visit; see our roadshows and site visits page and the employee and crew shuttles page.
Cancellation is simple: more than 72 hours before pickup, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 per cent; 48 hours or less, 50 per cent; 24 hours or less or no-show, 100 per cent.
How to book in four steps
