Bradford GO Station: address, parking and what it serves
Bradford GO Station is at 300 Holland Street East in the town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, the first Simcoe County stop for a northbound Barrie line train. GO's station page lists free customer parking with 355 spaces in the main lot, plus reserved parking and carpool parking, and bike racks. North of it the line calls at Barrie South GO and ends at Allandale Waterfront GO; south of it the trains continue to Union Station Toronto, which has its own page. The town's own information is at townofbwg.com, and our Bradford city page covers the car services we run in the area.
Bradford GO to Barrie and beyond: planning fares
Our home base is Barrie, 40 km north, so the numbers below are measured from downtown Barrie to the places in the left column. They are one-way planning ranges for a business sedan, all-in (chauffeur, vehicle, fuel, tolls on the planned route, gratuity), with HST shown separately. The engine quotes your exact address and pickup.
| Between downtown Barrie and | Distance | Drive time | Business sedan (planning range) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bradford | 40 km | 30–40 min | $225–260 |
| Alliston / New Tecumseth | 45 km | 40–50 min | $240–275 |
| Newmarket / Aurora | 60 km | 40–55 min | $280–320 |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 97 km | 60–85 min | $380–440 |
| Union Station Toronto | 114 km | 75–105 min | $420–485 |
| Lake Simcoe Regional Airport (YLK) | 18 km | 20–25 min | $160–185 |
We do not print a separate Bradford-to-Pearson or Bradford-to-Union figure, because the quote depends on your exact address and the vehicle; the reservation engine shows the fixed fare before you confirm. A business SUV adds about 30 per cent on trips over 40 km.
How a pickup at Bradford works
Tell the form your GO train, or the time you expect to arrive. Dispatch follows the train's status, and your chauffeur messages the exact meeting spot on the day. Curbside pickup at a safe loading point at the station is included in the fare. Meet and greet, where the chauffeur waits at a named point with a name board, is an optional add-on on the booking form. Waiting at a rail station includes 15 minutes from the train's actual arrival, then 15-minute blocks, and dispatch messages you before any extra time starts. Because the chauffeur is travelling up to 40 km to reach you, it helps to book early and to tell us at once if your plans change.
Bradford GO station parking
GO's station page for Bradford lists a main lot of 355 free spaces, with reserved and carpool parking as well. It is a busy commuter lot, and weekday mornings are when it fills. Anyone who has circled a full station lot with a train due will understand why some travellers prefer a drop-off. For a trip to Toronto where you would rather not hunt for a space, or where a long evening drive home follows your return, a chauffeur is a calm alternative. Check the GO station page for Bradford before leaving a car for multiple days; GO's rules and space counts are theirs to set and may change.
The Bradford GO train: where to look for times
"Bradford GO train" is a busy search, and it is an honest one: people want to know when the trains run. That is GO Transit's call, and it moves by schedule period, so we do not print times. Use the GO Transit trip planner, the GO schedules and the GO Barrie construction notices for the authoritative answer, and the Metrolinx site for the wider GO expansion. When your train is confirmed, give us the arrival time and we plan the pickup around it.
When the GO train is all you need
For a single traveller going to downtown Toronto at a normal hour, the train is cheap and easy, and there is no reason to book a car. If you live a short walk or a short drive from the Bradford station and you are travelling light, take the train. If all you need is a hop across Bradford, a local taxi can suit you better than a pre-booked private car from Barrie, because our home base is 40 km away. We are at our best on trips where a chauffeur is the right answer: airports, late arrivals, heavy luggage, groups, long runs and hourly days.
When a chauffeur from Bradford is the better answer
- Your train is delayed or cancelled and you still have to reach Barrie, Orillia or a cottage tonight.
- You are heading for Pearson or Billy Bishop with luggage, and a rail change at Union is more than you want to manage.
- Several of you share one fare, so the per-person cost narrows.
- You are going on from the station to Casino Rama, Collingwood or a ski hill.
- You have a day of stops in Simcoe County and want one car and one chauffeur on an hourly booking.
- Snow is falling and you would rather be driven than drive.
Bradford to Barrie by car: Highway 400 timing
The drive from Bradford to Barrie is about 40 km up Highway 400, taking 30–40 minutes in ordinary traffic. Weekday mornings are heavy southbound toward Toronto and light northbound, and the picture reverses in the evening. From Victoria Day to Thanksgiving, Friday afternoons bring cottage-country traffic northbound on the 400, and Sunday afternoons the same crowd heading south, worst on long weekends. Dispatch watches Ontario 511 and chooses between the 400 and the local roads when there is an incident. The Highway 400 winter travel guide covers the winter traffic, and our Barrie-based car service page covers the rest of what we do around the city.
From Bradford to the airports
Barrie to Toronto Pearson is about 97 km, 60–85 minutes and a business sedan at $380–440 from downtown Barrie, with a business SUV at $490–565. Bradford is on the Highway 400 route between the two, so a Bradford pickup is a different quote, which the engine gives you before you book. Our Pearson airport page covers terminals, flight tracking and curbside pickup, and Pearson's own site lists airlines and ground transportation. Billy Bishop is about 115 km from downtown Barrie, 80–110 minutes, $445–510, with the car dropping you at the mainland terminal on Eireann Quay before the pedestrian tunnel or ferry crosses to the island; see the Billy Bishop page. Our Pearson GO train vs limo guide explains why there is no direct train.
Bradford West Gwillimbury and the Holland Marsh
Bradford West Gwillimbury is the southern gateway to Simcoe County, beside the flat farmland of the Holland Marsh. Many of the people who use Bradford GO live in the town and its surrounding subdivisions, or in neighbouring communities such as Alliston and New Tecumseth and Innisfil. Visitors who are staying with relatives, working at a local business or heading to a farm or a wedding venue in the area often arrive by train and need a ride from the station. For arrivals from Toronto bound for Barrie, the car can meet the train at Union Station instead; see the Union Station page.

Hourly chauffeur from Bradford
The lead product at BarrieLimo.net is the hourly private chauffeur: one car and chauffeur for a 3-hour minimum, business sedan $135–160 an hour all-in plus HST, business SUV $175–205, executive SUV $225–265. A 4-hour sedan booking is $540–640. Suppose you step off the train at Bradford with a day of site visits across Simcoe County: a farm, a shop in Alliston, a lunch in Barrie and a dinner in Orillia. On an hourly booking the chauffeur waits outside each stop and the day is one invoice. The private chauffeur page explains how as-directed days work, and the hourly vs point-to-point guide shows when hourly wins. Ask the engine how positioning from Barrie is quoted for a Bradford start.
Luggage, families and vehicle choice
A business sedan carries three passengers and three bags; a business SUV five and five; an executive SUV or a luxury minivan six and six; and a Sprinter up to 14 people for a team or a wedding party. Child seats are available from $25 each when you ask at booking. The chauffeur loads and unloads. Pets need prior approval, requested at booking and confirmed in writing; service animals are welcome. A wheelchair-accessible vehicle is available if you book in advance and tell us about the wheelchair or scooter; GO provides its own accessibility information, which you can check on its site.

Groups, weddings and events from Bradford GO
A bridal party or a hockey team arriving by train does not have to split into taxis. A Sprinter takes up to 14 passengers, and for larger groups a coordinator prices the job in writing. Stretch limousines and party buses are partner vehicles from vetted operators, and we say so when you book. Alcohol is not allowed in any of our vehicles, including partner vehicles. For weddings, proms and big nights out, see our wedding limo and party bus pages.
Winter and the snowbelt
Barrie lies in Ontario's snowbelt, and from November to March lake-effect squalls can slow or close Highway 400 between Barrie and Highway 89 with little warning. If you are travelling north to Barrie in a storm, a winter-tyred SUV and a chauffeur who checks conditions are a practical choice, and dispatch tells you before you leave if the timing changes. Our winter airport transfers post explains how we plan cold-weather transfers.
Late and cancelled trains
Commuter rail is dependable until it is not, and the stretch between Bradford and Barrie is where a delay hurts most, because there is no easy second option at night. If your train is cancelled, tell dispatch as soon as you know and give us the new arrival or the station where you are stuck. A car from Barrie can reach you at Bradford, and a car can also meet you at Union Station for the whole run to Barrie, which costs more than the train but takes the uncertainty out. The planning range between Barrie and Union is $420–485 for a business sedan, and between Bradford and Barrie $225–260. Cancellation terms for the booking are the standard ones below, measured from the scheduled pickup. Tell dispatch about the delay as early as you can and they will work with the new timing.
What a Bradford run looks like for the chauffeur
A Bradford pickup is a 40 km positioning drive from Barrie up front, plus the trip with you, which is why the fare for Bradford and Barrie sits where it does and why we ask you to book rather than hail. The chauffeur leaves early enough to be at the station before the train, parks legally, messages you the spot and follows your carriage's arrival. If you are travelling with children, mention the ages so the right car seats are installed. If you prefer to be met inside the station, add meet and greet when you book. The experience should be unremarkable in the best way: you step off the train, find the car and are on Highway 400 within minutes.
Booking direct
Book on the BarrieLimo.net reservation engine, name your train or expected arrival and you see a fixed all-in fare before you confirm. No app, no marketplace commission and one dispatch desk. Cancellation is measured from scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours before, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 per cent; 48 hours or less, 50 per cent; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 per cent. For other rail pickups see the stations hub, for pricing see rates and for flights and hotels around the trip see our travel desk.
